From within the realm of the Emtech Program in collaboration with the AAIS Interprofessional Studio, one of the largest projects built by the students of the AA was constructed in the town of Jena in Germany. A fully functional and inflatable extension, driven by biomimetic concepts that adapted the structural properties and integrity of a dragonfly’s wing as the primary design concept for the inflatable structure. The structure served as an extension to the Theaterhaus in Jena and housed a series of events, installations, performances and projections that fell within the ‘Crash!Boom!Bau!’  Festival.
